Coronavirus update (November 16th 2020)
Following the cancellation of the EEID 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Montpellier meeting has been rescheduled to the 11-14 June 2021.
Our preferred option is to maintain the spirit of previous EEID meetings, so we are doing our utmost to maintain an in-person event. The safety and well-being of all conference participants is our priority. The EEID 2021 organizing committee will continue to monitor the COVID-19 pandemic as the situation evolves. The recent good news regarding vaccines are encouraging but it is difficult to forsee what will be feasible next spring. The final decision about whether the in-person meeting can take place will be made in early March 2021. If our in-person gathering has to be cancelled the event will be converted into an online format.

We hope to see you in Montpellier in 2021. In the meantime, take care of yourselves and stay safe!
Welcome to Montpellier for the 18th Ecology and Evolution of Infectious Diseases meeting
The venue of the meeting will be The Corum, a conference centre ideally located in the heart of Montpellier’s historic neighbourhood, easily accessed by public transportation and a very short walking distance from restaurants, cafes and hotels. Montpellier is home to the world’s oldest Medical School still in operation (12th century) and one of the largest communities of researchers working in Ecology and Evolution in Europe, many involved in the study of the ecology and evolution of infectious diseases.
